Cardboard Tubes in Architecture

It is often remarkable how we tend to forget things that are so common to us. A very good example of this would be cardboard tubes, they are in almost all the places that we visit yet we do not notice them. A vast majority of the population does not know that they can be used for industrial level as well as in the construction of walls of houses and buildings. They have a multitude of unique characteristics such as adequate strength and stiffness. They can also withstand heavy loads and can produce stellar works of engineering and are ideal for certain specific designs and functions. Cardboard tubes have been used for architecture and building construction ever since the 1950s. It's first ever design would have come through concrete columns where they have been integrated. Another reason that cardboard tubes are heavily used is that they are low cost and provide an environmentally sustainable option due to their hundred per cent recyclability.

Here at Sigma College of Architecture, one of the Top Architectural Colleges in Tamil Nadu we help our students broaden their horizons by educating them on projects that think outside the box.
