Sigma College of Architecture which is located in Moododu, Anducode P O, near Kuzhithurai, is the only college offering B. Arch & M. Arch programmes in the southern zone of Tamil Nadu covering Thootukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts. The College is positioned amidst lush green vegetation and rolling landscape. Nagercoil and Trivandrum towns are just one hour of travel from the college. The college campus is located in an environment which is ideally suited for the teaching learning process. Boys & Girls hostels, Canteen, Students Store, Open air theatre, Gymnasium, Play Grounds and Museum are facilitated in the campus itself thus making our campus self contained. The buildings and the campus are so designed to cater to the specialized requirements of Architectural education.
Architecture is a wide and multifaceted discipline, a profession which is part of culture and an art that shapes the built environment and is inextricably connected to humanities, social and physical sciences, applied and fine arts, and business and finance with technological advances leading to new building practices and contemporary problems demanding innovative solutions; therefore seeks out to react to the intricacy of present world, rapid urbanization and climate change, spatial and geographic precincts and escalating gaps in living styles; showing that, architecture has never been such important, challenging to create, and potentially transformative and is considered as one of the most elegant professions which is not only well paid but also gets the creative juices flowing. Architects are the magicians behind the aesthetically and marvelously designed buildings.

Ayshwarya, student of Sigma College of Architecture has successfully completed her internship with us for 10 months. S Ranjith Kumar, student of Sigma College of Architecture trained with us for 2 stints of 100 days - almost 9 months. Initially he was a quiet boy and was struggling to cope up with various aspects of training in a new place – climate, food, communication with peers, language, etc. But after a month he picked up well and showed considerable improvement in his working etiquette and methods. He exhibited an eagerness to learn and sincerity to adapt to new conditions at work and his conceptual design skills and detailing further developed as the days went by. Eventually by the time he completed training, I would say he was able to get a hold on many design as well as technical aspects thereby contributing positively to successful completion of various design presentations, working drawings, estimates, detailing, site visits, etc., Overall we are happy with this contribution to our firm and are willing to accommodate similar students for training in the future. I congratulate S Ranjith Kumar and wish him well for his future endavours.
Anoop, student of Sigma College of Architecture is one of the most promising and endearing intern that we have had in our organization. Right from the start he exhibited an exemplary eye for drawings and detailing. His sense of design and aesthetics, combined with hands-on knowledge of how things work, made him a valuable asset to our project team. His dedicated approach and perseverance with respect to site visits and supervision are definitely worthy of mention. When he takes leave, we will miss a meticulous engineer, a talented architect and a dear friend.
My visit to Sigma College of Architecture was very delightful as I found the teachers and students very motivated and inspired in moulding as well as getting moulded as fruitful professionals in Architecture. The team is headed by a very effective and passionate academician and conservation architect Prof. Indira. I have found that the management is very supportive and encouraging in all the endeavours of the faculty members and students.
