Induction Programmes

We conduct induction programmes at two different levels.

Faculty Level
To improve the subject knowledge, quality of education and moreover induction programmes are arranged to faculty members to make them understand the overall academic quality expectations by accrediting agencies like NAAC & NBA, quality of content delivery, Auditing procedures by Internal Academic Quality Assurance Cell, preparation of academic documents as per the guidance of IAQAC in order to meet the requirements of NAAC and NBA. Also intensive training will be given to all newly inducted faculty members on NAAC and NBA Accreditation requirements, Blooms Taxonomy, Outcome Based Education policies, Mapping of various Outcomes, Teaching effectiveness and preparation of Course related documents and assessment tools, etc.

Student Level
Awareness on Council of Architecture and Anna University Rules and Regulations, Passing requirements, attendance, internal assessments, class committee meetings, anti ragging rules, hostel rules, discipline, syllabus, choice based credit system, promotion requirements, earning of credits, accreditation requirements, outcome based education, field visits, case studies, societal activities, green initiatives, internships, architectural thesis, design thinking, studios, theory cum studios, club activities, NSS, YRC, professional memberships, various workshops, seminars, National and international conferences, invited talks or guest lectures by subject experts, placements, consultancy activities, alumni, skill improvement value addition courses and initiatives of the College towards value based education etc. are given during the commencement of the first year itself. Classes are given by external experts, Principal and Head of Department.
We frequently organize interactive brain storming sessions, technical discussions, consultancy Sessions, training, orientation courses, meetings, etc, involving members of the Industry, external subject matter experts, eminent personalities, faculty and students in order to enhance the understanding of industry demands and expectations.
