Fusion Arena

Architecture firm Populous in association with Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies has designed ‘Fusion Arena ‘ which is a $50 million esports and entertainment venue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The fusion Arena can seat up to 3,500 guests and can host a variety of live entertainment programs and events. The designers paid tribute to Philadelphia Heritage by coining it the ‘workshop of the world’. Its unique seating is similar to balcony bars and club seats. It also offers flexible lounge boxes and exclusive suites. An area that roughly translates to 10,000 square feet will be dedicated to training facilities broadcast Studios and team offices.  “We’re taking our 36 years of designing iconic experiences for traditional sports – settings like Yankee Stadium – and applying those same principles of design to the virtual world of gaming,” said Populous Senior Principal Brian Mirakian.
