Danish firm Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter in association with consulting engineers Ramboll has designed the tallest tower in Western Europe. The Bestseller Tower stands at 320 metres high in the small town of Brande in Denmark. The current tallest tower in Europe was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano in London, UK. It will still, however, only come second to 462-metre RMJM-designed Lakhta Centre in St Petersburg, Russia which is the tallest in Eastern Europe. At its base, the project will hold a hotel, conference space, shops and offices.
"The plan is born out of a passion and interest for architecture and a vision of creating a unique building that matches the unique setup of a rethought headquarters," said Anders Krogh, project manager at Bestseller.
