The world is still in shock from the events that unfolded that lead to the renowned Notre-Dame Cathedral being burnt down. In light of these events, French president Emmanuel Macron has promised to rebuild the famous cathedral and since his national addressing, millions of euros have already been pledged in support. French billionaire Bernard Arnault and his company, luxury accessories brand LVMH, have offered €200 million while the Pinault family, which owns fashion conglomerate Kering has pledged an additional €100 million. According to AFP, a further €10 million will be put forward by the Ile-de-France regional government.

The restoration process would be a lot simpler as the blaze was stopped short of the two bell towers at the front of the cathedral and the exterior walls were largely also saved. The positives to look at are that many historic artefacts within the cathedral were saved in the rescue mission, including the woven crown of thorns and the tunic of Saint Louis.
