Beijing based firm, Approach Design has designed and concealed a new green roof featuring a running track and sports courts in the new hall to the Hangzhou Cloud Town Exhibition Centre in China. Initially, during 2015 when the structure was first constructed the designers had demanded for more space. This led to the architects developing a second, adjacent building to the large lattice structure. Instead of merely building an extension to the original structure, they had made a new nine-meter-high exhibition hall which is sunk three meters underground. This downwards-facing entrance was a deliberate move away from the "ceremonial steps" upwards that the Architects felt were often used for convention centers. The designers have designed to incorporate various facilities to the park, such as:
• Football field
• Watchtower
• Studio Theatre
• Community Vegetable Garden
• 760-meter running track
A freight ramp leading down to the center has also been constructed to encourage skateboarding.
