World’s first-ever the cross-border cable car will be built across the Amur River, which marks the border between eastern Russia and China. The project will be the first-ever cable car system to join two countries. The project will have UNStudio designing the station in the city of Blagoveshchensk, on the Russian side of the border, while the Architect of the terminal in the Chinese city of Heihe has yet to be announced. A public roof-terrace will be built on the riverside of the structure so that passengers may make use of the wonderful sights of the city of Heihe. Visitors arriving in Russia will be presented with a framed view of Blagoveshchensk when they leave the cable car. The structure will consist of four cabins each with a capacity of 60-person which will operate on two international lines connecting the two cities. The actual journey within the cable car will take three and a half minutes to travel between the stations. Commuters will be able to make the journey within seven and a half minutes
