Parasitic Pods in Hong Kong

Flux Haus, a housing scheme, by IAAC graduates- Kammil Carranza, Jitendra Farkade and Vinay Khare- is pushing boundaries by proposing the idea of a revolutionary single-person “parasitic pod”, which will cling on to five towers in the Sham Shui Po district of Hong Kong. Envisioned to be an AI controlled and swarm robotics incorporated project, the parasitic pod promises to let inhabitants occupy the space of their choice. These six- square meters pods are going to be suspended from grids that inundate the five towers in the Green Harbor Tower complex.  The dwellers will be provided with communal places like kitchens and bathrooms, as the pods are programmed to contain those as well. The swarm robots will construct and destruct the furniture of the pod in the blink of an eye. This in turn facilitates the transition of the pod from a bedroom to a living room, as preferred by the user. The artificial ventilation and sunlight simulator make the pod windowless, and the walls are made up of screens that give the dweller any desired backdrop. On the whole, the Flux Haus aims at providing the inhabitants with a safe and comfortable enclosed space to stay, when the masses cannot afford the skyrocketing cost of living in a sophisticated city like Hong Kong.
