Car park covered with roads for lego playsets

The car park completed for the LEGO by the Danish architecture studio CEBRA in Billund, Denmark, features a road layout which is originally for layout based on the toy company's City road plates. Named as the FACADES, the walls of five-storey car parking lot is designed completely to fit in the company’s original Lego's City road plates, which is still the favorite of many children. CEBRA chose to base the design on the famous ‘city plates’ to find a visual identity that tied into a Lego product. The entire building is clad in aluminium panels that are directly upscaled from the original design of the road plates. The patterns across the wall are made up from nine different section types used in the lego road plates. Since the  sizes of the perforations in the facade are based on the dimensions and ratios of the standard Lego brick, actual lego bricks can be attached to the wall.
