Awarded as the world’s largest dam, the three gorges dam situated in Hubei province, China also holds the record for the largest hydraulic power plant in the world. This huge dam is built across the main 3 rivers named the Qutang, Wu Xia, and Xiling. This structure is truly an architectural marvel and the best example of perfect planning and execution of a construction. The hydroelectric plant is built inside the walls of the structure, and this doesn't make any compromises to the strength of the whole dam. Many of the architects visit this dam to inspire themselves for the better.
