Zoomorphic Architecture is the practice of using animal forms as the inspirational basis and blueprint for Architectural design. It presents a startling new trend in Architecture where the Architect may wish to create a symbol not from any specific representation but from a more general allusion to biological processes. While animal forms have always been a subject of great interest by Architects worldwide by some deep connection, Zoomorphic instills the same on a direct basis. In a philosophical way, we could say that Zoomorphic Architecture aims to bring a certain embracing to nature and selectively represent nature and its creations. Some of the renowned architects who have used Zoomorphism in their works include:
• Basil Al Bayati
• Le Corbusier
• Eero Saarinen
• Fariborz Sahba
• Santiago Calatrava
