The Secrets of the Pyramid of Giza

The great pyramid of Giza was built for the Pharaoh Khufu and was finished around 2560 B.C. It is one of the marvels of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still intact. After century of erosion, the pyramid which was built with an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks, weighing 2.5 to 15 tons each, stands about 450 feet high. Giving it company are 5 other pyramids. Two towering ones, three smaller ones and an enormous statue of a sphinx, because why not.

There are several mysteries surrounding the pyramid and an unsolved one till date remains how the pyramids correctly aligned with the three stars in Orion’s Belt. The baffling mystery that researchers are still struggling to explain is how the ancient Egyptians managed to align the pyramids so precisely north when, at the time, there was no North Star to guide them.
